Despite the availability of existing courses in the industry, it was recognised that many of these programs are lacking crucial elements of the modern aviation supervisor role with no current operational experience and failing to address the critical issue of firefighter cancer awareness by still conducting burning on practical exercises.
In response to this, the decision was made to create a course that is relevant to the real-world challenges facing aviation supervisors today. The goal is to bring something new to the market that reflects the current state of the industry and provides participants with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in their role.

- The course is for newly promoted Aviation Rescue Firefighting Service watch officers/commanders and is also designed for personnel who are currently in a crew commander role and being developed to the next level. This includes those who are developing skills for supervising aerodrome firefighting and rescue services, effectively managing operational incidents, exercising command and control, and day-to-day management
