Course Overview
The aim of this course is to provide the knowledge and understanding of planning, responding, and managing wildfire incidents safely, by applying the appropriate safety protocols that are nationally recognised.
The course includes several modules covering identifying wildfire risk, mitigation, response, and prevention. During the 2-day course, desktop exercises and immersive learning environments are utilised to replicate attending a wildfire incident.
By the end of the course, delegates will be able to apply the appropriate wildfire safety procedures, analyse a wildfire and landscape to identify risks and the appropriate response; participate in a multi-agency wildfire briefing understanding their role and be able to use recognised terminology.

Learner feedback
"Great course - I haven't had any experience of a wildfire, so in some cases I have weak knowledge of a typical incident. No that I've done this course, I'm sure I will have a much better awareness of what to do."
Learner feedback
"Enjoyed the opportunity to discuss matters and confirm learning, the tutor was clearly knowledgeable and passionate."
